Larrimah Agricultural Precinct

NT Land Corporation, in partnership with NT Farmers Association, will soon be calling for expressions of interests for exciting and unique large-scale agricultural land developments.

Larrimah Agricultural Precinct, within the Big Rivers Region, is a 5,712 hectares area of land surrounding the township of Larrimah, with direct access to logistics routes both north and south along the Stuart Highway.

Larrimah is located about 431 kms southeast of Darwin, the Northern Territory’s capital city and approximately 200 kms from Katherine.

The Larrimah area has a unique seasonal advantage, extending the season for crops such as the Territory staples of mangoes, citrus and melons as well as presenting opportunities for a range of dryland and irrigated crops and the development of intensified
beef operations.

Land suitability assessment of the site has reported that soils suitable for irrigated agriculture within NT Portions 4478 and 4663 are predominantly deep, well drained sandy surfaced red earths. A water licence allocation with a consumptive pool has
been sought from the Department of Environment and Natural Resources for the development of the Larrimah Agricultural Precinct.

The land consists of four agricultural areas which are available to suitably experienced and capable developers on long term leases. Interested developers may register their interest in one or all four areas.
